Kangal – the lion of the Anatolian mountains.
Its figure shows pride and power.
Its sound roars the slopes and rumbles like an avalanche.
You have to be worthy of walking besides one – and the lion will decide!
Some people choose a breed by trends and habits.
I chose my kangal to have a fierce guardian around my property and deter all living creatures and even undeads 🙂
I read a lot about the breed and gathered information what to expect owning this huge animal. I felt I was prepared to own one than at the age of 18 months I realized that something has changed. I was sitting next to my giant dog in a car cargo space driving to the animal clinic and I felt strong tides between us – and our relationship is no more like master and servant rather the wolf pack leader and an injured member of the pack’s bond.
I would like to introduce this amazing dog and the breed to you, dear reader and I wish, walking on this road you will understand my feelings towards this amazing creature.
2 kangals are arrived as puppies into my garden and now they become the adult member of our ecosystem. Part of the family as nowadays we say. This journey towards the adulthood was quiet interesting and not boring at all. Let me show you the details 🙂

The more I learn about humans, the more I admire my dogs!
Demir was not meant to be a friend.
I needed a faithful and fearless guardian to protect my family and my life.
I found a guardian and a mate, a fellow or even a companion – a true and honest part of my life.
This is the beginning of our journey into a new part of my life outside of my garden. I had to move abroad and that makes the everyday life even more difficult. Follow me, follow us on this rough road and enjoy the moments.
